About Me

Since I can remember, I have had a zeal for being active and trying new things. Ballet, jazz dance, judo, tap dance, and basketball filled up my busy childhood schedule. At age 20, I left my home in Germany to study Communication Design in New York, a career that I still love and actively pursue to this day. For me, there is a very deep connection between creativity and physical wellbeing and I try the best I can to balance those hours in front of the computer with physical exercise from Snowboarding, Kiteboarding, to Yoga and Pilates and of course running after my kids.

I discovered Pilates back in 2004. During my first private lesson I immediately took to it and never looked back. My growing passion for Pilates finally motivated me to pursue it professionally and I earned my teaching certificate through Core Pilates, New York City in 2007.

Since then I have practiced and taught Pilates all over the world, including New York, Hong Kong, Munich, Paris, Istanbul and even Khorog, a small town in the remote mountains of Tajikistan. I have also had the privilege to work with some of the industry's great masters, such as Carolyne Anthony, Elizabeth Larkam and Tracey Mallett

In 2009, I founded Pilates Retreat Asia, organizing and hosting pilates and yoga workshops and retreats all over Asia's most beautiful spots and resorts. My mission is to spread the passion for Pilates, Yoga and a healthy lifestyle through dedicated service and quality instruction. So far, it has been an amazing journey.

And yes, sometimes I make it into the Press:

And sometimes (when I am not teaching Pilates) I also make movies:
